Dear
friends,
Thank you so much for reading the newsletter! There is always so
much to share. Thank you for all your faithful prayers for us! We have
seen the Lord accomplish above and beyond!
January, national human trafficking awareness month, is right around the corner and would be a perfect opportunity to highlight this horrible reality and strengthen those in your sphere of influence. If you’d like us to come
speak and raise awareness, or partner with you in any way, please let us know as
soon as possible as the calendar will fill up quickly.
January
would also be the perfect time to join Lighthouse for Life as a regular monthly
financial partner. We are inviting you to take part in groundbreaking rescue
and restoration in the state of South Carolina. We cannot do it without you and
if we join together, by the grace of God and strength of our unity, nothing will stop us. If your business, civic group,
faith community or you as an individual are interested in taking advantage of
this amazing opportunity please call me at 803-730-1054 or email me at jen@lighthouseforlife.org.
I’m
tired of looking back and talking about how far South Carolina still needs to
go in the fight against human trafficking. Join the movement! Step forward to
the future. Let’s not lament the past any longer. Let’s not linger in
complacency today. Let’s put actions to our words and change the future of the
lives of survivors in our great state today. Call me and let’s do this!!!
Most
Sincerely,
Jen

Heather Cook is a dear friend of Lighthouse for Life, has a strong faith in the Lord, and is devoting her life to minister to the broken!
For 18 years, she was a victim of sex trafficking right here in Columbia, SC. Read her story here.
The Center for Law and Policy Division of Shared Hope International has published State Report Cards that share how each state is doing at passing laws to fight child sex trafficking.
South Carolina was given a C. You can read the report and understand why here.
