 | The Truth About Trafficking: Dark to Light Episode 3 Sheriff Leon Lott – Richland County Sheriff Department, SC (9 minutes) ~ Up until a few years ago, when Law Enforcement encountered trafficked victims, they were too often treated like criminals, charged with prostitution, drugs and other crimes. Likewise, trafficked victims were often too afraid of or felt too beholden to their sellers to tell officers they needed rescuing. But thanks to better training and education, victims are being recognized. |
