Despite COVID-19, Lighthouse for Life is still operational. Human Trafficking hasn’t stopped and we can’t either. Our physical offices are currently closed, but we are working responsibly and taking necessary precautions. Our office staff is working remotely, as are our caregivers. We are learning along with the rest of the world how to implement some new technology and move forward in ways that are still meaningful and relevant. Stay tuned for regular updates from our team via email and our Facebook.
Always Remain Vigilant
Lighthouse for Life CEO, Jen Thompson recently sat down with Lexington Police Department Victim Advocate and long time friend of Lighthouse for Life, Dee Cochran and had a conversation. They both agree strongly human trafficking has not slowed down even due to the current pandemic. Traffickers and predators may be busier than ever due to people being bored, social distancing, distance learning for students, and remote working for adults.
In response to what we believe is a greater need than ever to exercise online safety for adults and children, Dee and Jen recorded their discussion about how to keep kids safe online. This is a casual and practical conversation that could be considered. Check out the video about online safety for children.

A Note From Jen
As we all navigate this time of uncertainty, we have a choice to make. We can choose to be angry, frustrated, fearful. Or we can choose to remain at peace, make the best of it, be thankful, and look for tangible ways to help others. We at Lighthouse for Life want to choose the latter. If there is any way that we can help you and your loved ones, please feel free to email us or call any time.
It is our top priority that you understand how thankful we are for the support we’ve already received from the community, that we are not in need of emergency funding at this time, and that we are making any and all cuts we can to save money and steward our resources with the highest efficiency. However, if you would like to donate to Lighthouse for Life, we would appreciate your support.
