I hope you've enjoyed a holiday weekend of rest and renewal as I surely have. The season can bring a unique mix of joy and discontent. I am thankful for the good in the world and also motivated by the need for goodness to multiply its impact.
Lighthouse for Life is an example of the good which persists in the world.
We have served over 38 survivors of human trafficking and we will persist in our efforts to bring restoration to so many more. We also have persisted for over 5 years in support of legislation raising the penalty on sex buyers in SC. In spite of prior setbacks we anticipate seeing bill S194 become law in 2020! We are also thankful for our partnership with the Saluda County School District. We will present free awareness and prevention to every employee in the district as well as to every student in Saluda High School by the completion of the school year.
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to demonstrate your persistence. Radical generosity is a powerful way to engage in this fight and your gift is essential to our persistence.
Nothing worth fighting for ever comes easy and this is no different. Nevertheless, we have determined that we will persevere and persist because the vision set before us and the joy of our survivors is well worth the struggle.
Thank you for choosing to join the movement and support us in this fight!
