Location: Saluda Shoals
Join us on March 5, 2022 for the Light the Fight 5K GLOW Run/Walk! We have MISSED being able to have our 5K in person due to Covid, so we can't wait to welcome everyone back to Saluda Shoals to LIGHT THE FIGHT this spring!!!
The proceeds from this 5K will all go to benefit Lighthouse for Life, a non-profit organization based in Columbia, SC that is fighting against sex trafficking in our nation. Our mission is to educate the community and empower survivors to eradicate human trafficking!
This year, we are going to include a new aspect to our 5K to help connect all of you to our mission… the whole purpose of this event is to have all of you JOIN THE FIGHT to eradicate human trafficking, so we want to give you a glimpse into the life of a survivor. Along the way, there will be lit-up statistics of human trafficking, and after you’ve crossed the finish line, there will be a section set up that tells the TRUE story of a survivor of human trafficking. This will be a powerful experience for all of you, shedding LIGHT on the realities of human trafficking in our own backyard!*
This is a family-friendly event! Walkers, runners, and strollers are all welcomed and encouraged!
Come join us as we LIGHT THE FIGHT to eradicate human trafficking!
*Viewer discretion is advised. We have set this up for parents to be able to decide if they want their children to participate in this part of the event.

Join the Fight against Human trafficking!
Community is a key foundation of Lighthouse for Life. Not only do we rely on our community partnerships, but we want to do all we can to help our communities grow in their understanding of human trafficking and the role they can take in fighting it.
As part of our commitment to raising awareness, we would love the opportunity to discuss the impact of human trafficking in our communities as well as the mission of Lighthouse for Life. By inviting a Lighthouse for Life team member to speak to your church, youth group, civic organization, school, family, or friend, you are helping to raise awareness about this important issue and encouraging new supporters of the cause. We are available to do virtual or in-person trainings.
If you would like to request a Lighthouse for Life trained speaker, please complete this SPEAKER REQUEST FORM.
Here is a sample awareness presentation video by our former CEO, Jen Thompson at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church from 2019.
